Design Principles
Over recent years many cities have rediscovered their
waterfronts and launched projects to revitalize these areas. Out of these efforts have come a
number of important "criteria" for a successful project. Two are stated here to help build a bridge of understanding, as we proceed in the months and years ahead
to bring this important project to reality.

Build on Paseo de la Resaca´s unique qualities:
Simply stated, from the beginning the waterfront and Resaca water system was recognized as the thread of continuity for pedestrian linkages to the Village Center, schools, tennis center, swim center and a whole host of cultural and recreational pursuits

Planning for retail, residential, hotel, office, recreational, cultural and entertainment venues will bring residents and visitors to the waterfront and Village Center virtually 24 hours a day , seven days a week. In the months ahead the following "Village Center" concept number 1 plan" will undergo revisions and refinements until it is perfected
